About ESTAM WMF
The ESTAM World Music Festival, a captivating production of the Student’s Cultural Center Kragujevac, Serbia, is a dynamic intersection where music surpasses borders, and cultures connect souls. From its inception, ESTAM has been a fearless pioneer, spotlighting progressive and daring world music projects, emanating from the rich Balkan region and beyond. Each edition unveils commissioned, original, and collaborative projects, forming a melting pot of creativity that echoes globally. A profound partnership with the Multikultivator Service For Culture and Arts Development has fortified our mission. Collaborations with other festivals, EU-supported platforms, notably MOST – Bridge for Balkan Music, propel our growth and amplify our resonance. The enchantment of ESTAM lies in its ability to delicately reignite the inquisitive spirit of local audience, breathing life into the city’s historical legacy.
With ESTAM, we aspire to shake the local audience, awakening the spark of curiosity. Kragujevac, once the capital of the modern Serbian state in the 19th century, holds a rich cultural history. ESTAM seeks to bring the world back to Kragujevac while projecting the city onto the global stage through music that outstrip boundaries, fostering a spirit of discovery.
At ESTAM, we envision a harmonious world where music becomes an immersive experience, igniting open hearts and minds. We aim to unite a diverse crowd of music enthusiasts under the shared umbrella of sonic exploration.
